Position Summary | The Massage Therapist performs a variety of duties to support the Customer Service Department of Campus Recreation. The Massage Therapist administers professional therapeutic and sports massage to RecSPA clients. Responsibilities include but are not limited to having a thorough knowledge of numerous massage modalities, possessing a general understanding of body treatments and willing to learn spa specific massage and body treatment offerings; must possess excellent customer service and communication skills and be able to learn the service knowledge necessary to effectively provide wellness solutions to meet the needs of clients. They must hold and maintain a current state license. Massage Therapists must perform within certification and/or training standards and/or Code of Ethics and demonstrate a professional appearance and demeanor both on and off campus that favorably represents the University of Arizona and the department of Campus Recreation. Massage Therapists are encouraged to participate in promotions and events. Arizona Board of Regents Minimum Qualifications | Bachelor’s degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment AND one year of instructional or subject work experience; OR, five years of progressively responsible instructional or subject work experience; OR, any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education. |
