The University of Arizona Department of Political Economy and Moral Science anticipates appointing a tenured faculty member with an appointment beginning as early as the fall of 2018.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Serve as Head of the new Department of Political Economy and Moral Science.
  • Will have a distinguished research record in moral and social philosophy broadly construed, “PPE” (Philosophy, Politics and Economics), or political economy. Candidates must be qualified to teach both graduate level courses and courses in the Philosophy, Politics, Economics, and Law undergraduate major.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • A record of successful administration, research, and teaching is required, with a preference for candidates with a record of success as Department Head.
Minimum Qualifications

A Ph.D. in philosophy, political science, or economics is required.

Preferred Qualifications
  • The Center emphatically welcomes applications from scholars with diverse disciplinary perspectives and methods who are eager to work in a collaborative setting.
  • Applications should include a letter of application along with a current curriculum vitae, evidence of teaching experience, a statement of research objectives, and a detailed description of administrative current and past responsibilities
