Position Summary

UA Presents, the professional performing arts presenter of the University of Arizona, is seeking to add a Marketing Specialist, Assistant to its Marketing team. This position will be a vital part of a dynamic team whose goals include attracting audiences to UA Presents’ events, ensuring ticket sales and attendance goals are met or exceeded, and increasing UA Presents’ local, regional and national visibility.

This position is available immediately and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to assist in the full range of marketing activities with a special emphasis on digital advertising and promotion and social media.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assist with development and copywriting of all communications, advertising, and promotional materials (brochures, newsletters, ads, displays, website, press releases, etc.)
  • Coordinate and monitor the implementation of marketing activities, projects, and schedules within budget.
  • Support website administration.
  • Coordinate e-marketing efforts with the rest of the Marketing team and Centennial Hall.
  • Plan and implement copy, photo and video posts for Facebook, Twitter and Instagram as directed by the Marketing Director.
  • Identify and recommend other strategic social media channels relevant to the market.
  • Work at public relations events and community relations activities.
  • Maintain and manage marketing-related archives and files.
  • Maintain events calendar and event information.
  • Update media database.
  • Supervise, prioritize and assign work to marketing interns and volunteers.
  • Coordinate program activities, outreach activities, workshops, and special events with students, the local arts community, schools, businesses, and the general public.
  • Implement interesting and innovative projects and arts outreach programs as directed by the Marketing Director.

Arizona Board of Regents Minimum Qualifications

Associate’s degree in marketing or related field AND two years of experience in the development of comprehensive marketing plans or book trade experience; OR, four years in the development of comprehensive marketing plans or book trade or advertising experience; OR, any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the Arts or Entertainment field, arts education, museum education, arts administration, or web marketing is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and website software.
