The University of Arizona College of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmacy Practice and Science seeks a dynamic individual for a 0.5 FTE Assistant professor career-track position at the Phoenix campus.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Maintain teaching responsibilities at the University of Arizona College of Pharmacy at the Phoenix Biomedical Campus.
  • Provide advising to College of Pharmacy students.
  • Participate in committee assignments.
  • Additional duties may be assigned as it relates to the position.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Knowledge of organizational practices and policies.
  • Commitment to excellence in teaching (didactic and experiential) and training of students, residents, fellows, pharmacists and other health professionals.
  • Ability to effectively communicate.
  • Ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and safeguard information.
Minimum Qualifications
  • PharmD degree, have completed a PGY1 pharmacy Practice Residency and a PGY2 Residency or a research fellowship.
  • Applicant must be licensed or become licensed to practice pharmacy in Arizona.
  • Research skills in decision support and medication safety.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Board certification in pharmacotherapy is preferred.
  • Applicants who are not board-certified will be expected to obtain certification within 2 years of obtaining the position.
