Position Summary

A Research Technician position is available immediately in the Rogers research group in the Department of Cellular and Molecular Medicine at the University of Arizona. We are searching for a motivated, independent individual to perform scientific research benchmark in a cellular biology laboratory. The Research Technician will be responsible for completing experiments that are critical to ongoing projects.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Technical assistance through benchmarking on multiple projects under the direction of the PI, Research Associate, and PhD student.
  • Maintain detailed records, keeping an up-to-date organized laboratory notebook.
  • Present findings at weekly lab meetings.
  • Assist in routine lab chores/responsibilities; (autoclaving, pouring agar plates, making media/bacterial broth, etc).
  • There may be additional duties assigned as it relates to this position.

Arizona Board of Regents Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment; OR, Four years research experience appropriate to the area of assignment; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Applicants with a B.S. or B.A. in biology, cell biology, biochemistry, or related field are highly preferred.
