Position Summary

Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position in planetary science at the Lunar and Planetary Laboratory. Talented scientists with backgrounds in physics, geophysics, and astrophysics are encouraged to apply. This position is supported under the auspices of a NASA-funded grant with a primary goal of advancing our understanding of planetary interior structures and processes capable of generating tectonic patterns.

Duties & Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to develop interior structure and general stress models to constrain the interior structure of Titan, Enceladus, Dione, Pluto, and Mars; and the processes capable of generating tectonic patterns on these planets by comparing the predictions of our new models with gravity, topography, and tectonic patterns observations.

*Candidates should have a PhD in Geophysics, Astrophysics, or from a related field.
