Position Summary

The Department of East Asian Studies is seeking a highly qualified candidate for the position of Lecturer to teach part time EAS 160A1 during the Spring 2018 7week2 term. This position is neither tenure-eligible nor tenure track. Candidate must be able to start by February 26, 2018.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • The expected teaching load will be teaching one section of EAS 160A1 “Worlds of Buddhism” based on the needs of the Department.
  • Hold office hours.
  • Attend meetings and events as requested.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must possess a PhD in East Asian Studies or related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching East Asian Studies courses at a college level for more than 2 years
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience teaching undergraduates.
  • Experience supervising Graduate Teaching Assistants.
  • Experience with University of Arizona systems.
