Position Summary

A temporary tech position is available to assist Dr Lisa Nagy in a Bioinformatics project.

Duties & Responsibilities

Analyzing transcript ome
Educating team members in analysis methods
providing support for undergraduates in the lab doing molecular biology
General Lab Management, placing orders and making media as needed

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology or Genetics
Experience working in a Research Laboratory
Previous experience with Bioinformatics

Arizona Board of Regents Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment; OR, Four years research experience appropriate to the area of assignment; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent hands-on skills in cell and molecular techniques
  • Strongly self-motivated
  • Independently learn new bioinformatics software.
