Position Summary

The Provisional ASL Interpreter works between spoken English and American Sign Language for any University sponsored activity as directed by the DRC Interpreting Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Interprets for students in the classroom and for University sponsored activities.
• Interprets for faculty and staff.
• Interprets at University sponsored activities.
• Assesses language and cultural variables to provide appropriate interpretations.
• Accepts assignments based on their skills, knowledge and abilities.
• Willing to work varied hours each semester.
• Supports team members by accepting substitute assignments.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Manager.

Current valid state of Arizona Provisional Interpreter License, in accordance with A.R.S. Sec. 36-1946 et seq.
