Position Summary

The Department of German Studies at the University of Arizona seeks a qualified person for a one-year, full time lectureship for the 2018-2019 academic year.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Teach three courses each semester, including large general education courses and other courses as assigned.
  • Hold Office hours
  • Active involvement in teamwork, curriculum development, recruitment of German majors, and program affairs.
  • Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Minimum Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in German Studies or related field.
  • Native or near-native fluency in German language and strong English language skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with language teaching methodologies as well as computer-assisted language instruction
  • Experience in online teaching
