The Little Sensor Lab at the University of Arizona is seeking a highly qualified and motivated part-time (15-16 hours/wk) senior research specialist to work on several projects at the interface of biology and engineering.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Participate in ongoing research projects in the area of optical sensors, biosensor surface functionalization, and device fabrication.
2. Publish articles in peer-reviewed journals.
3. Assist in supervising and mentoring students

Arizona Board of Regents Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment AND three years of related research experience; OR, Bachelor’s degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment and four years of related research experience; OR, any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications

MS degree in a science or engineering field.
Previous experience working with optical microcavities.
