Position Summary

The Transfer Student Center is seeking a half time Coordinator to work collaboratively with the Sr. Director, Transfer Curriculum & Transfer Student Center, Graduate Assistant, and Transfer Student Assistants on initiatives to serve and support transfer students. This individual will have primary focus on supporting Transfer Student Center programming, events, and activities.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
• Experience working with the transfer student population and their unique needs
• Skill in organizing and prioritizing work and assignments
• Ability to work independently, solve problems, and meet deadlines
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintain collaborative relationships with various campus resources and departments on campus (cultural centers, VETS Center, LGBTQ Affairs, Advising Resource Center, Dean of Students, etc.)
• Serve as a point of contact for Faculty Fellows
• Support relevant programming with Transfer Student Assistants and Graduate Assistant
• Attend Transfer Student Center events and programming, as needed
• Meet and consult with current and prospective transfer students on admission, enrollment, retention, and academics
• Implement assessment tools to determine success of TSC activities and retention and engagement of transfer students. Evaluate assessment data and make recommendations
• Reconcile P-Card transactions
• Collaborate with Transfer Enrollment team to serve and recruit transfer students
• Other administrative tasks as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and/or six years of progressively responsible administrative coordinative program experience; OR,
• Any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Transfer Enrollment processes (including admittance criteria and Next Steps) for transfer students
• Skill in program and event planning logistics
• Experience working with students from culturally diverse backgrounds
• Knowledge of developing promotional and marketing materials
