Position Summary

Located in beautiful Tucson, the University of Arizona College of Medicine (UA CoM), established in 1967, has 19 departments, five basic science and 14 clinical science, along with 10 Centers of Excellence, dedicated to specific areas of research, clinical care and teaching. An NIH-funded postdoctoral research position is available. The research will be conducted in the laboratory of Dr. Nam Lee and will include biophysical, cellular and in vivo experiments for publication in peer-reviewed journals and scientific meetings. As such, this position requires a strong multidisciplinary background in molecular biology, biochemistry and cell biology, as well as previous experience working with mice and human tissues. Although this position is open immediately and is available for 3 years, the applicant is highly encouraged to manage multiple projects, including parts of the NIH-funded grant objectives, and apply for independent extramural funding.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Independently design, perform and interpret experiments and data.
  • Prepare manuscripts for publication.
  • Present data at scientific meetings.
  • Supervise graduate and undergraduates related to the projects.
  • Assist with administrative and laboratory management duties.
