Position Summary

The University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law invites applications for a Lecturer who will teach in the JD program, conduct research, and assist in the administration of the Indigenous Peoples Law and Policy (IPLP) Program. This is a full-time fiscal year to year appointment.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Teach in the JD program;
  • Develop a scholarly research agenda;
  • Assist in the administration of the IPLP Program;
  • Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Familiarity with the University of Arizona IPLP Program
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Minimum Qualifications
  • J.D. from an ABA accredited law school
  • At least 3 years of practice experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Tribal law and legal issues
  • Experience in legal education and teaching
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with higher education setting
  • Familiarity with experiential legal education
  • LLM from an ABA accredited law school
