Position Summary

Two Postdoctoral Positions are available immediately in the area of computational genomics and network biology in the Padi lab in the Dept. of Molecular and Cellular Biology at the University of Arizona.

Duties & Responsibilities

We develop new computational methods for integrating multi-‘omics data and investigating how cellular networks are altered in complex diseases and phenotypes, with a view to identifying therapeutic strategies and advancing precision medicine. Current areas of focus include 1) characterizing the changes in regulatory network structure during tumorigenesis, 2) combining tissue-specific networks and cancer mutations to predict drug response, and 3) modeling how genetic variants can perturb network modules and drive complex phenotypes.

We are looking for motivated individuals who want to apply their quantitative skills to tackle important problems in biology.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Minimum Qualifications

A Ph.D. degree in physics, computer science, mathematics, biology, systems/computational biology, or a related field is required, along with excellent communication and programming skills (e.g. R, Python, Matlab, or C++).
