Position Summary

The University of Arizona French and Italian department offers cutting-edge language programs, including an MA in French with two emphasis tracks and one of the largest Italian programs in the United States.

The Department of French and Italian is seeking a highly qualified candidate(s) for the position of Adjunct Lecturer for Spring 2018.

The expectation of this position is teaching at the undergraduate level. Candidates should be prepared to teach courses at various levels of French or Italian language (100-300).

This position will teach 1 to 3 courses. This position is not tenure track.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • The expected teaching load will be based on the needs of the Department.
  • The candidate must be able and qualified to teach French or Italian basic language courses.
  • Contribute to program development.
  • Recruit French or Italian majors and minors.
  • Hold office hours.
  • Attend meetings and events as requested.
  • Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must possess a Master’s Degree in French or Italian or related field
  • Native or near-native fluency in French or Italian and English.
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching French or Italian language courses.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching at college-level.
