Position Summary

The Police Lieutenant for Special Events enforces University, State and Federal laws and regulations to protect life and property and serve the University Community during Special Events.

  • Protect life and property and serve the University Community during Special Events.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be currently employed and commissioned as a peace officer for the State of Arizona by a metropolitan police agency.
Arizona Board of Regents Minimum Qualifications

Six years of experience as an Arizona Peace Officer Standards and Training (AZ POST) certified officer which includes one year of supervisory experience; OR, Bachelor’s degree in Police Science, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, Public Administration, a social science or related field AND four years experience as an AZ Post certified officer which includes one year of supervisory experience; OR, Equivalent out-of-state certification; must obtain an AZ POST regular officer certification within six months from date of hire. Possession of a current Arizona Type D driver’s license upon employment.
