Position Summary

This is a short term temporary winter session teaching position for the Department of East Asian Studies. Course(s) to be determined; could be for Japanese or Chinese, either basic language (taught in Japanese or Chinese) or culture course (taught in English).

The Department of East Asian Studies is dedicated to the study of the cultures and languages of China and Japan. The rich cultural heritages of the region are covered by courses in literature, history, society, religion and thought, linguistics and other aspects of culture.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Teach course online or in-person.
  • Independently prepare teaching materials.
  • Hold office hours.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Minimum Qualifications
  • Experience teaching college-level classes.
  • Master’s degree in relevant field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience teaching at the University of Arizona.
