Position Summary

The College of Architecture, Planning, and Landscape Architecture invites applicants for the position of Adjunct Lecturer to teach in-person and online courses in the Sustainable Built Environments degree program. We are seeking qualified candidates who are able to work with a diverse population of students and colleagues, and who have experience with a variety of teaching method and curricular perspectives.

This is a part-time, non-tenure track position for the upcoming academic year. The duties include teaching one to two courses per semester.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Teach one to two courses per semester.
• Syllabi and assignment preparation.
• Deliver classroom lectures and instructional activities.
• Create, grade, and critique student assignments.
• Keep regular office hours.
• Exam preparation and grading.
• Evaluate overall student performance in the course.
• Additional duties may be assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s degree in an appropriate or related field.
• Successful college or university teaching experience.
• Able to work with diverse students and colleagues.
• Have experience with a variety of teaching methods and curricular perspectives.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong experience in the design and teaching of online courses.
