The University of Arizona is accepting applications for Postdoctoral Research Associate I, in the laboratory of Donna Zhang, PhD, Department of Pharmacology/Toxicology within the College of Pharmacy.

The successful candidate(s) will have expertise in using knockout mice, in proteomics and in studying Nrf2-mediated redox signaling.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Design and perform experiments in the areas of Nrf2-mediated signaling. Discover crosstalk of Nrf2 with other intracellular pathways and the functional importance of the crosstalk.
  • Interrogate the functional significance of the crosstalk using biochemical and cellular approach and murine knockout models.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Minimum Qualifications
  • PhD in a field appropriate to the research area.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in investigating the protective role of this Nrf2-mediated cellular defense response in pulmonary diseases.
  • Experience in intratracheal instillation and lung pathology.
