Position Summary

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at The University of Arizona invites applications for tenured or tenure-track faculty appointments at the Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor ranks.

The ECE Department is currently interested in candidates with research expertise in information theory, signal processing, wireless networks, machine learning, computer architecture, mixed-signal circuit design, cybersecurity, and quantum computing. Outstanding candidates in areas not explicitly mentioned are also encouraged to apply, if their areas of expertise complement that of the department.

Duties & Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to establish a strong, high-visibility, high-quality, externally-funded research program, and willing to engage in existing and future large collaborative research endeavors,

The candidate will also be expected to teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate level in the areas of recruitment. In addition to teaching, the selected individual will contribute to mentoring students, including those historically underrepresented in higher education.

The successful candidate is also expected to actively contribute to an academic environment that nurtures collaboration and participation in outreach and contribute to departmental, college, and university service. In these, and other ways, the faculty member will help to develop innovative approaches to enhancing student engagement, increasing diversity, and expanding collaborations with community and business partners.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must have an earned doctorate in Electrical and Computer Engineering or a related discipline, and at least two years of research experience in academia, industry or government.
