Position Summary | The University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix invites applications for the position of Associate Dean for Finance and Administration. The position is responsible for all budgetary and administrative activity in the College including an annual “all funds” operating budget of over $100 million. The College includes approximately 1,800 faculty, both on-campus and volunteer faculty, who share their skills, expertise and time to training the next generation of physicians in Arizona and beyond. The College is organized into specialty administrative units, centers, core facilities and academic departments including expanding clinical departments in partnership with Banner University Medical Center – Phoenix. Reporting directly to the Dean of the College, the Associate Dean is a key member of the College’s senior leadership team responsible for annual budgeting, strategic financial planning, and development/deployment of the administrative infrastructure necessary for supporting and sustaining the College’s tripartite mission. The successful candidate will be an established leader with a demonstrated track record of administrative and financial experience preferably in a complex academic health center and/or University setting. Duties & Responsibilities | The incumbent will plan, direct, and manage the comprehensive business affairs of the College, including analysis and management of college-wide budgets, program development, and initiation of new college financial strategies, policy development, financial reporting, and mission-based business development in cooperation with affiliated clinical partner hospitals, health systems, and physician practice groups.
