Position Summary

The School of Government & Public Policy at the University of Arizona seeks multiple Adjunct Instructors (part-time, non-tenure eligible, non-benefits eligible) for the spring 2018 semester in the area of Criminal Justice.

The School of Government & Public Policy (SGPP) was formed in 2009 by combining two highly ranked programs – political science and public administration and policy – bringing them under a single roof. Located in the College of Social & Behavioral Sciences, SGPP is one of the largest schools at the University of Arizona and is uniquely situated to serve as a new model for public affairs education by promoting high-caliber research, teaching, community outreach, and civic leadership.

By offering leading programs in political science, international relations, public policy, and public management, SGPP prepares men and women for leadership positions in the public and nonprofit sectors.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Instruct undergraduate students in field of Criminal Justice.
  • Hold office hours.
  • Plan class lectures and assignments.
  • Grade papers and exams.
  • Assign projects.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in related subject relevant to class assignment; OR, any equivalent combination of degrees, graduate-level education, professional certifications, teaching experience, and/or practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ph.D. (although ABD’s will be considered).
  • Expertise in the area of Criminal Justice.
  • Prior teaching at collegiate level.
