Position Summary

The School of Geography and Development (SGD) is seeking multiple Adjunct Instructors (part-time, non-tenure eligible, non-benefits eligible) for the Spring 2018 semester. SGD is a large and active department in the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences with over 350 undergraduate majors, 77 graduate students, several postdocs, and over 20 faculty members.

We are seeking applicants who can provide quality undergraduate teaching for assigned course(s) for the Spring 2018 semester only. The School seeks individuals who are able to work with diverse students or colleagues and who has experience with a variety of teaching methods and curricular perspectives.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Teach and support undergraduate students in assigned class
  • Hold office hours
  • Grade exams/assignments
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Geography or related subject relevant to class assignment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience teaching at the collegiate level
  • Experience with a variety of teaching methods and curricular perspectives
