Position Summary

In this position as Marketing Coordinator, you will play a significant role on the College of Nursing’s marketing and communications team and will be responsible for creating, implementing and assessing comprehensive marketing outcomes and branding strategies to effectively promote and build visibility for key College of Nursing events, programs and initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with the Marketing Manager to ensure consistent, clear messaging and branding across all communications platforms and to leverage high-value content among diverse audiences at local, regional, national and international levels.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Implement a strategic marketing/communications plan for advancing publicity initiatives and establish a strong brand for the College, including print, audio, visual, electronic and social.
  • Ensure alignment between College of Nursing marketing communications efforts and the larger UA brand, working collaboratively with UA Marketing and Brand Management, UA Communications and UA Health Sciences Office of Public Affairs.
  • Work with University-wide offices to ensure College’s alignment with UA guidelines, practices and policies, and remain current on related issues.
  • Work with communications specialist and video producer to coordinate publicity, photography and video for events and initiatives.
  • Create, implement and evaluate targeted marketing plans to promote the visibility and success of key initiatives at the College of Nursing.
  • Generate and report measurable benchmarks for assessing the effectiveness of publicity and branding initiatives.
  • Work with a graphic designer, develop marketing and promotional materials that leverage the University of Arizona branding to support these key initiatives, including flyers, brochures, advertisements and graphics for social media.
  • Promote skilled and effective use of the UA branding and logos across all major platforms including College of Nursing websites, marketing materials, advertising and videos.
  • Develop new and innovative ways to reach target audiences through a variety of conventional and unconventional distribution channels.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Acrobat and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of digital media, social media, video and new technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills, collaborative and self-motivated.
  • Experience using data and designing metrics to measure success.
  • Ability to juggle, prioritize and keep on track several projects at once.
  • Identify objectives and meet deadlines.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, business, communications or related field and two years of experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in graphic design and/or video, higher education, and health care or related industry.
