Position Summary

The Arizona Emergency Medicine Research Center (AEMRC) is seeking a talented, motivated person to help us grow our clinical research program in Phoenix. This person will be instrumental in creating and growing relationships with healthcare agencies in the Phoenix area. The AEMRC has a history of making great things happen to benefit patients, and our next teammate will help us in furthering that mission.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Consult with faculty and staff and coordinate implementation of research trials at hospitals and other facilities and/or agencies. Interact directly with hospital research coordinators, administration, supervisors, and staff nurses to implement research protocols at hospitals.
  • Lead and monitor data collection, data processing and data storage in compliance with Good Clinical Practice.
  • Develop and schedule program work plan in accordance with specifications, objectives and funding limitations; oversee daily operations and coordinates program activities through assigned staff; prioritizes and delegates work activities.
  • Prepare periodic reports on program activities, progress, status or other special reports for management or outside agencies.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness to develop and implement improved methods; devise evaluation methodology and implement; analyze results and take proper action based on outcome.
  • Interact and maintain liaison with faculty, staff and outside/community agencies in hospitals and with physicians and others in facilitating program objectives.
  • Evaluate patients, engage in consent discussions with patients or families, and interact with Principal Investigators and others for patient enrollment in research trials.
  • Develop, compile and write communications and promotional literature for distribution, such as newsletters, brochures or flyers; coordinate process from development through printing and distribution.
  • Develop and facilitate workshops, meetings or conferences; coordinate logistics, scheduling and participant communications.

  • Knowledge of supervisory practices and principles.
  • Skill in organizing work of self and others.
  • Ability to effectively communicate.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelors’ degree and/or combination of education and professional experience supporting research activities related to the area of assignment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters of Public Health.
  • Previous experience supporting research activities related to the area of assignment.
