Position Summary

The Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics is seeking a qualified On-Call Adjunct Lecturer, Public Health to teach 2 sections of CPH 576A: Biostatistics in Public Health.

This is an online 8 week course starting in January, 2018.

This position will be non-benefits eligible. It will be on-going appointments; however, the positions may be put into unpaid status during semesters when the specified course(s) is/are not being offered.

The successful candidate will provide academic support as a section instructor to the College’s online MPH program. This On-Call Adjunct Lecturer will report directly to the Department Chair for day-to-day duties. This appointment may be semester-by-semester or it may be for either academic semesters or summer courses. Frequency of appointment will be contingent on course offering and enrollment.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Teach subject matter according to the course syllabus and online materials.
  • Manage course materials.
  • Grade.
  • There may be additional duties assigned as it relates to this position; If chosen to develop the course, compensation will occur during the 8 week course period.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Biostatistics.
  • Previous UA experience teaching the assigned course or be familiar with its content.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Terminal degree or Master’s in Public Health or related disciplines.
