Position Summary

This position provides administrative work unique to the College of Fine Arts (CFA) Development Office requiring initiative and independent judgment. The position requires the ability to handle multiple priorities, maintain a high level of customer service and the ability to work with internal and external constituents in a manner that is befitting of the integrity of the College. This position requires a positive attitude and a collaborative mindset that will enhance the One Team approach of our office culture.

Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Development, this person will be a part of a dynamic team that interacts with all aspects of the College of Fine Arts and with our donors.

Duties & Responsibilities

Designs, prepares concepts, thumbnails, layouts for direct mail, email blasts, and invites or announcements. Develops concepts and layouts for development collateral material utilizing ADOBE Photoshop, ADOBE Illustrator, and/or InDesign, and other graphic arts production systems and software.

Executes website updates as needed. Creates templates for different types of email communications targeted to specific audiences.

Prepares development communications calendar and maintains deadlines. Collaborates with internal colleagues to gather news-worthy stories our donors would find interesting across our four Schools.

Develops and maintains a photo library and archive of all communications.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Expert knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, and any other graphic design production software such as InDesign.
  • Expert knowledge of online email portal software such as Constant Contact.
  • Solid knowledge of preparing files correctly for printing.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Skill in customer service, analyzing and establishing priorities, donor-centric relationships, handling confidential information.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Positive, can-do attitude
Arizona Board of Regents Minimum Qualifications

Associate’s degree in Graphic Design or related field AND two years of experience in graphic design; OR, four years of experience in graphic design; OR, any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 or more years graphic design experience
  • Knowledge of UA Branding, and UA policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of organizational practices.
  • Experience in writing donor-centric or customer centric online communications.
