Position Summary

The Department Chair in Health Promotion Sciences at the Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health is seeking qualified individuals to teach as Adjunct Lecturers, the following courses for Spring 2018:

  • HPS 605, Community Based Participatory Action to Decrease Health Disparities. (face to face course)
  • HPS 607, Qualitative Research Methods in Public Health. (face to face course)
  • Doctoral Public Health Leadership for Health Equity. (face to face course)
  • Contemporary Issues in Health and Research (online)

There is a potential for other online courses.

The successful candidates will provide academic support as section instructors to the College’s face to face and online MPH program for Spring 2018.These Part Time Adjunct Lecturers will report directly to the Department Chair for day-to-day duties. Appointment will be contingent on course offering and enrollment.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Teach subject matter according to the course syllabus and online materials.
  • Manage course materials.
  • Grade.
  • Additional duties may be assigned as it relates to this position.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Minimum Qualifications
  • Previous experience teaching the assigned course or familiarity with its content.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Terminal degree or Masters in Public Health or related disciplines.
