Currently, the Department of Immunobiology is seeking applicants for the position of Research Technician, in the Kuhns Lab. This challenging position requires motivation and ability for organization. A high level of enthusiasm, confidentiality, and dedication are hallmarks of the ideal candidate.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Conduct independent experiments, evaluate the data, and keep appropriate record of all research activities.
  • Read the literature, participate in scientific discussions with other members of the lab, and attend mandatory lab meetings.
  • Perform assigned lab duties to assist in the maintenance of stock reagents or the general operation of the lab.
  • There may be additional duties assigned as it relates to this position.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Skill in analyzing and evaluating data.
  • Ability to effectively communicate.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Experience with modern molecular biology, biochemistry, and tissue culture techniques.
  • Basic understanding (through experience) of protein structure/function relationships and signal transduction.
Arizona Board of Regents Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment; OR, Four years research experience appropriate to the area of assignment; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with fluorescent live cell imaging.
  • Basic Immunological concepts.
