Position Summary

As the College of Pharmacy transitions to a new application system we are looking for an Academic Services coordinator who will contribute to the successful development and implementation of the admissions program, and develop processes, procedures and technologies for assessing and evaluating the admissions program. The successful candidate will collect student data to demonstrate adherence to accreditation standards and improve educational outcomes. The expectation is that the Academic Services Coordinator will be able to adapt as the systems and processes evolve.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Work extensively in prospect/applicant system.
  • Support others in the use of the prospect/applicant system.
  • Evaluate transcripts and review applications.
  • Assist with preparation of applications for Admissions Committee review.
  • Work with admissions committee during student selection process.
  • Work with campus admissions unit.
  • Develop and maintain student database using PeopleSoft.
  • Confer with and advise staff, applicants and others to provide technical advice, problem solving assistance, answers to questions and admissions goals.
  • Coordinate and perform data collection, analysis, reporting documentation.
  • Generate reports from the prospect/applicant system.
  • Respond to data requests from other departments.
  • Perform information and applicant tracking.
  • Provide administrative support for admissions process.
  • There may be additional duties assigned as it relates to this position.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Experience in a university setting, preferably with a graduate or professional program.
  • Familiar with Arizona college courses and equivalencies.
  • Self-starter and able to handle duties simultaneously.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with a diverse group of students, faculty, and staff.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a team-based environment.
  • Familiar and comfortable working with a PC in a networked environment.
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Electronic prospect/applicant system experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft.
Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree in appropriate field with graduate/professional program experience; OR
Bachelor’s degree in appropriate field with four (4) years graduate/professional program experience.
