The Little Sensor Lab at the University of Arizona is seeking a highly qualified and motivated post-doctoral associate to work on several projects at the interface of biology and engineering.

Positions are available to start immediately but the posting will remain open until all positions are filled.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Participate in on going research projects in the area of optical sensors, biosensor surface functionalization, and device fabrication;
  • Publish articles in peer-reviewed journals;
  • Assist in supervising and mentoring students.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Minimum Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree in Engineering or Science.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in theoretical and computational modeling of optical resonators, working in clean room, instrumentation building, and sensor surface functionalization;
  • OR, People with a strong biological or medical science background who have an interest in applying our developing techniques to advancing knowledge through biological and chemical sensing are especially encouraged to apply
