Position Summary

The successful candidate selected for this position will coordinate activities and functions of the Arizona Nursing Inclusive Excellence (ANIE) program to ensure that the goals and objectives are accomplished in accordance with established priorities, time limitations, funding limitations, and all other specifications. The Coordinator will have primary administrative responsibility, acting as a grants manager under the Project Director/PI and the ANIE steering committee. Additional fiscal responsibilities include preparation and control of program budget and decision making based on budget considerations in collaboration with the project director, Sponsored Projects, and business office of the College of Nursing.

This is a grant-funded position for 4 years.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Develop and recommend new or revised program goals and objectives as needed.
  • Develop and schedule program work plan in accordance with specifications and funding limitations; oversee daily operations and coordinate activities of program; determining priorities.
  • Monitor and approve program expenditures ensuring that budget allocations are appropriate.
  • Prepare periodic reports, financial statements, and records on program activities, progress, status or other special reports for management or outside agencies.
  • Direct student outcomes evaluation and data management processes.
  • Assist with the preparation of competitive renewal applications.
  • Confer with and advise staff, faculty, advisory committee members, and student scholars to provide technical advice, problem solving assistance, answers to questions and program goals and policy interpretation; refer to appropriate department person when unable to respond.
  • Collaborate with ANIE faculty team leads to develop and deliver programming, including summer intensive instruction.
  • Coordinate activities of program with interrelated activities of other programs, departments, or staff to ensure optimum efficiency and compliance with appropriate policies, procedures and specifications.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness to develop improved methods; devise evaluation methodology and implement; analyze results and recommend and/or take appropriate action.
  • Coordinate annual application processes.
  • Collaborate with the College of Nursing communications/marketing team to promote and market the ANIE program, including management of the social media and website content.
  • Coordinate logistics for workshops, meetings or student engagement activities, facilitating work of the program committees.
  • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in field appropriate to area of assignment and two years administrative/coordinative program experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • HRSA grants management experience, including budgetary/financial management.
  • UA systems (student and financials) experience.
  • Master’s degree in higher education, college student personnel or similar field.
