Position Summary

Please note: a minor update was made to the position summary for purposes of clarifying expected duration.

The Labs of Dr. Nima Toosizadeh and Dr. Jame Mohler are seeking a Research / Laboratory Aide to perform BSHRI visits using body worn sensor measures and measures of cognition. With written or verbal consent of participant, collect clinical and sensor data, data post-processing, and RedCap data entry required.

Note: Although these positions are currently expected to be temporary (less than 6 months), they may be extended. This change will be dependent on the hiring department’s business needs and available funding.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Perform clinical research visits at Banner Sun Health Research Institute (BSHRI);
  • Data entry into RedCap;
  • Attend weekly meetings by phone;
  • Work on an interdisciplinary research team under direction of Kathy O’Connor at BSHRI, with oversight by Co-PIs Nima Toosizadeh and Jane Mohler (UA) located in Tucson, Arizona.

Arizona Board of Regents Minimum Qualifications

One year of laboratory/research, field research or technical maintenance experience; OR, any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous work with elders;
  • Comfort with technology;
  • Coursework in BME, Biosystems Design, Health Science, Physiology or other related field.
