Position Summary

The Department of Spanish & Portuguese is accepting applications for multiple Adjunct Instructor positions to teach Spanish language courses. These positions may extend from part time (.50 FTE) to full time (1.0 FTE) for the Fall and/or Spring semesters of the 2017-2018 academic year. Hiring will depend on availability of funding and course enrollments.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Teach two or more classes of Spanish to undergraduate students.
  • Lecture on the material outlined in the department’s course syllabi.
  • Maintain office hours for students.
  • Administer and grade exams.
  • Attend instructional meetings.
  • Recruit Spanish majors and minors
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Spanish.
  • Native or near native fluency in Spanish.
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least two years of college teaching experience.
