Position Summary

The Eller College of Management seeks a Vice Dean for Academic Programs to provide academic and strategic leadership to faculty, staff, and students. The Vice Dean will report to the Dean and work closely with the Vice Dean for Faculty and Research and the Assistant Dean for Finance and Administration.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provides strategic leadership in curriculum and program development in collaboration with the College’s academic deans, faculty and academic department heads.
• Provides leadership for establishment and delivery of new academic programs and enhancement of the undergraduate and masters academic programs of the College, which include day, evening, weekend, summer session, global, and distance learning formats.
• Formulates, recommends and implements academic policies and procedures.
• Optimizes College undergraduate and masters programs and supports interdisciplinary cross-unit and cross-campus opportunities to meet emerging needs.
• Provides leadership in assurance of learning, establishing broad outcomes across departments.
• Oversees faculty and adjunct evaluation process to ensure instructional quality.
• Serves as liaison between the Eller College and Central Administration with respect to academic program evaluations and development.
• Aids the programs in terms of strategy as applied to management of program rankings.
• Supports and promotes College’s initiatives related to Inclusive Excellence to increase diversity and inclusiveness.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Minimum Qualifications

A Ph.D. from an AACSB accredited institution and an excellent record of scholarship tenurable at the level of Full Professor in the Eller College of Management is required. Candidates must have an outstanding record of leadership, advocacy and service to a college or university and the community.

Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, institutional effectiveness and assessment of student learning outcomes, program development, program management, shared governance, and engagement and support of diversity.
