Position Information

Title Medication Management Information Provider (Tucson & Phoenix) (Multiple Positions) (Part Time)
Department Pharmacy Administration (1901)
Location University of Arizona Health Sciences
Position Summary

The Medication Management Center is a pharmacist run call center focused on delivering innovative medication therapy management services. The center’s programs primarily focus on providing medication therapy management services to patients with asthma, diabetes, COPD, and CHF. However, the center provides medication therapy management services to patients with all types of medication management needs.

Successful candidates in the information provider role will contact patients over the phone, often times cold calling, to reconcile medication lists, collect allergy and medical conditions, as well as obtain other pertinent information. The information provider will schedule appointments with MMC pharmacists, contact medical providers, and perform other duties related to the provision of the medication therapy management services.

The Medication Management Center was established at the UA College of Pharmacy in 2006. In 2013, the medication therapy management programs developed by college faculty and center staff were spun off with the help of a Tucson investor. The new entity, SinfoniaRx, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sinfonía HealthCare Corp. (link is external), develops and manages a full suite of medication therapy management services. Through an exclusive relationship between the College of Pharmacy and Sinfonia, the Medication Management Center serves as the primary clinical provider of medication therapy management services to SinfoniaRx.

Positions are available in Tucson and Phoenix locations.
