Position Summary

This position provides support for the coaching staff of multiple adaptive athletic teams under the direction of the head coach.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist students/community athletes in their practice sessions.
• Help with sport wheelchair equipment, get wheelchairs ready for practice, assist with transfers and putting equipment away after practice.
• Provide assistance with home games/tournaments by securing appropriate facilities and set up.
• Assist with team transportation needs.
• Other duties assigned by the coaching staff.

Minimum Qualifications

Arizona Board of Regents Minimum Qualifications

Six months of experience working with disabled clients; OR any combination of experience, training and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge regarding sports activities for individuals with disabilities, in particular mobility impaired.
• Knowledge of team specific sport (basketball, tennis, track/road racing, quad rugby).
