Position Summary

The School of Sociology at the University of Arizona seeks a non-tenure track Limited Term Adjunct Instructor to provide part time instruction for the School in the area of Environment Health and Society, Economics and Social History, and Sociology.

The School of Sociology at the University of Arizona houses a highly ranked Ph.D. program in Sociology, a BA in Sociology, a new B.S. in Care, Health, and Society, and contributes courses to the Sports and Society track in the Bachelor of General Studies. We maintain our commitment to being a first-rate research program in sociology.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Instruct undergraduate students in field of expertise.
  • Plan class lectures and assignments.
  • Grade papers and exams.
  • Assign projects.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in relevant discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ph.D. (although ABD’s will be considered). Graduate training in pursuit of Sociology Ph.D.
  • Expertise in the area of Environment, Health & Society, Health Disparities in Society, Families in Society and Social Inequality.
