Position Summary

Fine Arts Technology, the IT team for the College of Fine Arts, is accepting applications for the position of Web Site Developer, Senior. The selected individual will be joining a small but high energy team of IT individuals who serve the College of Fine Arts. CFA IT team members work on the front lines with faculty and staff in Art, Dance, Music, Theatre, Film & Television, UA Presents, and the Hanson Film Institute to advance the College’s potential. More broadly, this team works with a variety IT specialists across campus. The team is responsible for developing, maintaining, and managing College of Fine Arts web sites, intranet systems, and other web-delivered content. The selected candidate will work on multiple projects, including custom development and the deployment and maintenance of WordPress sites.

Duties & Responsibilities

Under the direction of the IT Manager, Principal:
- Develop and maintain custom administrative web solutions for the CFA Console (intranet system)
- Develop and maintain integrations between College and University data systems and college WordPress sites
- Assist in the development and deployment of new WordPress sites within the college
- Research best practices in code, security, and long-term strategy for web-delivered content.

Arizona Board of Regents Minimum Qualifications

Five years of progressively responsible web site design and/or development experience; OR, Associate’s degree in a related field AND four years of web site design and/or development experience; OR, Bachelor’s degree in a related field AND two years of web site design and/or development experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications

- Extensive experience deploying, updating, and maintaining WordPress
- Extensive experience with PHP, MySQL, and Javascript
- Experience developing WordPress plugins
- Passion for developing and maintaining web-delivered solutions to the administrative challenges of a dynamic organization
- Experience with AWS (Amazon Web Services)
