Position Summary

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate I for a current opening starting immediately in thermoacoustic imaging and microwave hyperthermia treatment related areas.

Duties & Responsibilities

The candidate will be performing cutting edge research in the areas related to thermoacoustic imaging and microwave hyperthermia treatment. Successful candidate will also be leading graduate and undergraduate students as well as collaborating with a number of other researchers in a team environment. Candidate’s duties will include design, modeling, prototyping and testing of advanced thermoacoustic imaging and microwave hyperthermia treatment systems.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Successful candidates must have strong motivation and have strong background in thermal induced acoustic imaging or related biomedical imaging areas, microwave engineering experimental skills, antenna designs, etc.

Minimum Qualifications

PhD in Electrical Engineering or related subject.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong experimental and theoretical skills in RF / microwave / ultrasound engineering; Creativity; Team working spirit; and Hardworking attitude.

The following experiences will be a plus: biomedical image processing algorithms, phased array design and beamforming, high power microwave instrumentation, ultrasonic imaging and electromagnetic and ultrasound modeling.
