Position Summary

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering has an opening for a Non-Tenure Eligible Research Assistant Professor position in wireless networking, communications, and security, with emphasis on one or more of the following themes: Physical-layer security, MIMO-based friendly jamming, rendezvous and network discovery, coexistence and spectrum sharing among heterogeneous systems, dynamic frequency hopping systems, game theoretic resource allocation, and full-duplex wireless communications.

Duties & Responsibilities

Conduct independent research related to the above topics, under the guidance of the project PI; mentor and collaborate with graduate students; write technical papers and reports; participate in funding activities (proposal preparation, progress reports, etc.).

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Minimum Qualifications
  • PhD in EE, CS, or related discipline.
  • Publications in competitive journals and conferences related to technical themes above.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience writing grant proposals.
  • Prior experience supervising graduate students.
