Position Summary

The Department of Ophthalmology and Vision Science is accepting applications for a Full Professor position. The primary purpose of this position will be to conduct basic research in the Department of Ophthalmology and Vision Science. This position will be filled by an individual who is able to work with diverse students, trainees and colleagues, and who has experience with a variety of teaching methods and curricular perspectives.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Establish an extramurally funded research program.
  • May teach residents, medical students, graduate and undergraduate students.
  • Serve on departmental and college committees.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Minimum Qualifications
  • MD degree.
  • Medical License.
  • Board certified in Ophthalmology.
  • Fellowship training in Cornea and Refractive Surgery.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proven potential to establish extramural funded research.
  • Established expertise in working with a diverse patient population.
